Exerpts on the Universe & Beginnings of Life on Earth

Some Hypotheses & Some Thought Experiments:

From Cosmos by Carl Sagan

We are made of stardust! Following the Big Bang explosion the early universe contained the primordial mixture of energy & matter that evolved into all the forms of energy & matter we observe in the universe today. For example about 100 seconds after the Big Bang the temperature of this expanding mixture of matter & energy fell to approximately one billion degrees Kelvin (K) - “cool” enough that neutrons & protons began to stick to each other during certain collisions & form light nuclei, such as deuterium & lithium. When the universe was about 3 minutes old, 95% of the atoms were hydrogen, 5% were helium and there were only trace amounts of lithium. At the time hese were the only elements that existed.

The ages measured for Earth’s oldest rocks & oldest crystals show that our planet is at least 4.3 billion years in age but do not reveal the exact age of Earth’s formation. The best age for Earth’s formation . The best age for Earth’s currently estimated at 4.54 billion years.

From mastery by Robert Greene

Ultimate Reality Undeniable Facts 4 billion years ago - life began on Earth, simple cells 600 million years ago - greatest of all organisms with central nervous system appeared; This led to the present brains of humans now. Cambrian Explosion:

“Since all lifeforms are descended from the common beginning, they are all interconnected in some way, and we humans are intimately implicated in this network. This is undeniable. Let’s call this interrelatedness of life the Ultimate Reality.” – Robert Greene

Some Notes & Hypotheses on How & Why Life Began on Earth

  1. At about 4,000 million years ago, long after the Big Bang about 13,700 million years ago, life began on Earth as simple cells at the bottom of the sea. The sea was formed due to continuous rains. The sea was the “cradle of life” said Rachel Carson. How? Probably by the intersection of energy and matter (biogenic elements) under favorable conditions.
  2. Earth is about 4,540 million years old and was formed in the process of expansion of the universe w/c started in the Big Bang. It still is “cooling” & expanding continuously.
  3. In the process of expanding & “cooling” the primordial mixture of energy & matter formed the biogenic chemical elements (life supporting chemical elements) consisting of atomic/sub-atomic molecules.
  4. In the same process, galaxies consisting of about billions and billions of stars. One of these about hundreds of billions of galaxies is the Galaxy or th eMilky Way, our galaxy where our sun, the center of our solar system is but a medium-sized star. Our solar system consists of nine planets, where our Mother Earth belongs.
  5. Natural forces of gravitational attraction & repulsion act between galactic systems, between solar systems, between planetary systems, inside & outside planets and so on, inducing motion.
  6. These natural forces put on hold our Mother Earth in a position of motion and conditions favorable for the beginnings of life. Moreover, an abundance of formed biogenic chemical elements from cosmic dusts/stardusts abound the forming Earth. The biosphere was formed.
  7. Our solar system, by act of natural forces determined the location and orbit of each of the member of the planetary system revolving around the Sun. Intergalactic natural forces influenced each other cosmic bodies in a manner corresponding to their gravitational force of attraction & repulsion.
  8. With the beginnings of life on Earth, and the evolution of continuing favorable conditions for life, began the explosion of evolutionary development of new species of life forms subdivided into the different period of development of Earth’s flora and fauna.
  9. Life being a complex process of combined energy and matter under certain conditions was favored to evolve different processes and with different natural results.
  10. Specifically, any life form of an organism, be it a plant or an animal consists of electrochemical components. This dual components of life act in an integral manner. One cannot exist without the other to sustain life or form life. Without one, life ends. This is the duality of life.
  11. The human body can be considered as a bio cosmos, a universe within. So much have been discovered by the advancement of science. But still so much are still unknown but needs to be discovered and learned. Our country’s medical history and science must be advanced. Specifically herbal & nutritional medicine as we have a very rich resource of plants and animals from ridge to reef.
